CHAS is a Scottish charity established to provide hospice services in Scotland for children with life-limiting conditions. A children's hospice offers professional care, practical help and emotional support to the whole family from the day they are referred until the death of their child and beyond. No charge is made to families who use CHAS's hospices' and their At Home service which are funded mainly through the huge generosity of their many supporters who help them in so many ways. The Riders
Ian Bone - a keen mountain biker who rides a bike that's too big for him, and can do way more than he could handle! He thinks he's better than he rally is! Ian's worked at National Australia Group since February 1999.
Andrew Bone - (yes, they are brothers) He rides a hard tail and can handle it over most of the hurdles Ian puts in his way, he likes the cross country style of riding best. He's the opposite of Ian - he's better than he thinks he is! He worked for NAG a few years back and now works at Glaxo Smith Kline.
Alan Fraser - Alan is probably fitter than he lets on, but is rarely in the saddle these days so has a bit of training to do. He thinks he's going to be the hold up, but he has not seen Ian's big heavy downhill bike! Alan joined NAG in the past year.
Alex Benetatos - He's the athlete! This is the guy they will all be following! He cycles to work everyday, regardless of weather and clocks up serious miles! But he's never done anything like this milage in a weekend! Alex has been at NAG since the cows came home!
Paul Franks - Paul's athletic prowess is a mystery. None of us have ridden with him, or knows his fitness level. He talks a good case, and fills you with confidence - 214 miles....let's see how he does! Paul works for EMC and is on the NAG account team. He has sadly had to pull out due to a training injury.
Steven Turbitt - Not sure if he realises this is being done on a bike? He's a bit of an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys rallying in a pink jeep....no more needing said there! Steve has his own Badger Watch TV (Cam 1, Cam 2!!!) only it's his ferrets, .....and not badgers? Steve works for HPCDS on the NAG account.
Ross Black - Ross is a threat! He rides a carbon fibre single speed mountain bike and is a member of a mountain bike club, so he's serious at this caper! We are not telling him where the B&B's are so he waits for us!
