Team Changes

It's now just 8 days to the big event and the team are getting nervous!
Training plans have been given lip service and it's going to show on the road as the miles unwind!
The recent news and TV coverage of Mark Beaumont's cycle round the world sort of pales our efforts, but he trained everyday for two years, and had a team of advisor....made it all too easy for him!

We have had some last minute team changes: Paul Franks and David Ross have had to pull out due to health issues. Paul's arm has not recovered as quickly as hoped after his fall in training and the cracked bone is still causing a lot of pain. Sorry you can't make it, gents.

However, we have managed to badger Ross Black into joining us at the last minute, so a big welcome to Ross. Ross also works for National Australia Group.

Got the good news this morning that NAG will match the funds raised by the NAG employees which is fantastic, so a big thanks to the Community Affairs Team.

Pillar Data Systems are our first corporate sponsor to donate, so a special mention to Graeme McDonald and Brian Docherty.

Hitachi, SUN Micro System, HPCDS and EMC are some of the other corporate sponsors that we have had verbal/email pledges from, but we are still finalising the numbers with them.

It has been truly humbling to have received so many fantastic donations from friends and colleagues, to which the whole team, and our charity partner are eternally grateful. Please, keep them coming!

Ian.
