Update 3rd April

The big cycle is getting close now so I thought I would drop in an update on the training so far.....

First injury, Paul fell off and cracked a bone in his arm and has been in a sling now for a few weeks! He's still on track fitness wise he assures us for the ride, his arm is improving daily.

Next, Alex got knocked off his bike passing a school one morning. He's fine, a bit shaken, but the bike needed a new front wheel.

Derek fell off and skinned all his arm, while trying to avoid some bumpy cobbles.

I've been attending a physio for a bad knee which has been causing some considerable pain. The stretches and exercises seem to paying off.

Alan bought a new bike.
Derek bought a new bike.

Andrew, Steven and myself did a practice run through to Edinburgh along the canal path, 77 miles. The banter stopped about Falkirk, and by the time we got to Edinburgh, we all hurt really badly!!

The fund raising is going well. We have raised just over £2,600 with what's on the just giving page, and what we have pledged to us, which we are all very humbled by. Many thanks to everyone who has sponsored us so far, if you haven't, shame on you!!!

Ian.
